Marking the 10th Anniversary of Laudato Si'
Contemplative Vigil Saturday 25th January, with global organisations The 10-hour vigil will be held online, enabling people worldwide to participate. Each hour will be guided by a quotation from Laudato Si’ and the wisdom of leading contemplative communities. No More Special Pleading: Openness to LGBT people & their issues is basic to Christianity with James Alison, from Thurs 25th January Four sessions will look at the themes of his new book, You Can, If You Want To. They'll include finding our way into the heart of basic Christianity through the traditional Christian account of how to learn about reality; the history of how same-sex relations have been treated; the supposedly anti-homosexual “clobber” biblical passages used against LGBT people. A course for any who like their scruples of conscience relieved and their minds challenged. |
