WCCM Retreat:
The Joy of Encounter: Meditation in the Margins Tuesday 21st-Wednesday 22nd June, Ampleforth Abbey, near York Along with some of the most marginalised adults from Teesside including Saltburn Recovery group and Streetwise singers, we'll gather to learn from and listen to each other; sharing stories, meditating and eating together. For people of all ages! Monday 25th-Friday 29th July, Shallowford House, Stone, Staffordshire ST15 0NZ The retreat is open to all ages, single people and families, to live together in community with silent prayer at its centre. It will offer beginners an introduction to the Christian meditation as taught by John Main, with opportunities for well-practiced meditators to learn from each other. Self-guided and IGR Retreats, from a weekend to 30 day
Llanerchwen Retreats, Brecon, Wales Llanerchwen is known as a special place by all who go there, often over many years. It is almost unique in the UK, offering individual hermitage spaces, some in wooden cabins and others in small buildings. All are set in beautiful surroundings and in a very quiet location in the hills above Brecon. Each hermitage has its own self-catering facilities. There is a newly built art cabin and a chapel. Spiritual accompaniment is available where requested. |
