A weekly series, focusing on one author each month, with image-backed quotes, author info, longer quotes, reflection questions and audio resources.

Regular Seeds of Silence events on Zoom

All these regular gatherings include 20 mins or more of silence.

Silence Space

Meet regularly with others on Zoom for 30 minutes of silence-based prayer.
Mondays:
1pm: every week
 6pm: 1st & 3rd Mondays of month

Silence Forum

Bring your queries, questions and delights about silence & meditation to discuss together.
Usually last Wed of January, March, July and September, 7.30-9.00pm.

Words from Silence

A time to ponder what a poem might have to say to us about our practice of silence.
May and November in 2026:

Silence Reading Group:  slow reading!

This is not like usual book groups! Instead of a whole book, we read and discuss one section of our current book about silence each month. We start with 20 minutes of shared silence together. 
Our new book for April 2026 is Pico Iyer's Learning from Silence: Lessons from More Than 100 Retreats (Cornerstone Press, 2025). ​For a description, click here.

We meet from 7.30-9.30pm, usually on the second Wednesday of each month, but with some exceptions. Our first evening with this new book will be Wednesday 13th April, 2026.
All the spaces for the new book have now been filled.
​The next new book, and opportunity to join us for that, will be in the Autumn.
