NEW Reading Group beginning in Bradford
We'll be meeting every 6-8 weeks and slowly reading through two books about silence based prayer and meditation, a chapter of each between meetings. Each time we gather will also include a period of shared silence for around 20 minutes.

Each organisation below has small, local groups who meet weekly or monthly for about an hour to share in times of silent prayer.

Regular spaces for silence-based prayer in Bradford:

  • Christchurch, Ilkley holds a weekly WCCM Christian meditation group on Tuesdays at 10.30am. For further information see the webpage by clicking HERE, or contact the church office by clicking HERE.

  • Trinity Methodist Church, Manningham holds a Julian Group meeting on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm. An hour of readings and silent reflection, followed by refreshments.  For further information please contact Andy Thurlow by clicking HERE.  Unfortunately, this group is meeting for the last time on 23rd January, 2018.   • Holy Trinity, Bingley holds a Taize service on a Sunday at 6.30pm once a month.  This includes periods of silent prayer.  For further information please contact Rev Andrew Clarke by clicking HERE.
 
  • St Andrew's, Kildwick has a monthly silent prayer time.  This will be on the first Thursday of each month.  For further information please contact Kathryn Taylor by clicking HERE.
 
  •  Bradford Cathedral hosts two Silence Space times each month, on the second and fourth Monday, at 1pm in St Aidan's Chapel. There is an opening reading, 25 minutes of silence, and a closing prayer. For further details email Alison Woolley by clicking HERE.

  • St John's, Bierley, (by Asda at the top of the M606) hosts two Silence Space times each month, on the first and third Monday, at 1pm-1.30pm. Other details as for Bradford Cathedral, above. Email HERE for more info.
