Disciples of love are always growing in their efforts to follow Christ. Daily prayer sustains and enlivens love in their hearts. Although they stumble, trip over their misdeeds, and lose the way to love, prayer helps them start over again. Disciples of love continually return to silence and solitude in order to fan the flame of devotion and foster their ability to follow in the Teacher's ways. When we take the risk to pray, we open ourselves to being changed into these disciples of love.
