Since Holy Week of 2021 the Seeds of Silence website has posted a weekly quote about silence each Monday.
Each week, during Alison's semi-sabbatical from September to January, Quoting Silence: Echoes will invite you to re-engage with an author from a previous month in the long-running 'Quoting Silence: A month with ...' series.

You can do this in a variety of ways. Here are some suggestions.

  • A Monday only practice: look through the image-backed quotes, finding one that resonates with you today. Either use the guided meditation towards the top of the page to ponder more the one you've chosen or just let the picture and words speak to you as they will.
  • An audio practice - for one or every day: most of us love being read to! So listen meditatively to one of the long quote recordings. You could just do this on one day or repeat this every day, allowing the text to settle more deeply within you over the week.
  • A daily practice: sit with one image-backed quote every other day of the week, reading the author info and longer quotes on the days in between, and pondering the Reflection Questions, at the end of the page, on Sunday.
  • A different daily practice: use the Lectio Divina text and audio resources towards the top of the page to engage with the longer quotes from that author. What speaks to your heart each day as you read or listen to the longer quotes?
